Upon my graduation from UAL I have been proposed, and accepted, to work for Feel RougeWS on the D&G three-day event in Palermo, Sicily. Even though the job was more focused on the logistics of the event, I felt the opportunity of being part of such a “headline” show could not be missed upon.
The event was structured in three days, with the first day being the High Jowelery Showcase, the second day hosting the High Couture show and the last day for the closing party. My role consisted in helping the logistics team coordinating arrivals, departures and accommodation for the VIP guests of the event. I also helped in coordinating the fashion shows. Thanks to this working experience I feel I gained important insight on the process and structure needed to deliver the outstanding service that a world-famous brand like D&G is associated with. I earned a thorough understanding of the work needed to successfully deliver the ideas generated through the creative process.

During my work experience at Amici dei Musei, I was involved in the organisation of events and their advertisement on social media platforms. This, in turn, involved choosing and setting up the best possible locations for hosting customers and guests, taking into account not only the locations prestige but also the budgetary constraints of the organisation. During my time with Amici dei Musei, I was also responsible for managing their official social media pages to raise the public awareness of the events organised and the initiatives undertaken.
The most significant event I had the chance to work for was "Le Vie dei Tesori", a yearly recurring project which aim is to cast light upon the cultural heritage of Sicily. Open to the public throughout the month of October, Le Vie dei Tesori comprises numerous hidden historical gems of Palermo, Sicily.
I personally found this project highly engaging because of my strong conviction that, many times, we need to be reminded of the beauty that is in our cities and in front of our eyes.
