GREYHOUND'S LITTLE HELPER
The following campaign has been realised for the Greater London Association for the Rehabilitation of Greyhounds. The charity aims is to rescue and find a good homes for unwanted racing greyhounds. We were asked to came up with a new name for the association, create a logo and branding our client. Moreover we were asked to produce their launch PR Campaign.
When the brief for this PR campaign was given to us, I immediately thought about The Simpson. In the first episode of the first season, Homer and Bart, partecipate to a greyhound race during Christmas. One of the racing greyhound,Santa Little Helper, after an unsuccessful race, is abandoned in the street. Found by Homer and Bart they decide to adopt it. Therefore we decide to relate our campaign to The Simpson experience. We came up with "Greyhound's Little Helper" as name for the charity association and we launched the slongan " The Simpson did it, Why not you?"
As Creator leader, I realised the poster and the logo. For the logo I decide to place a colourful greyhound inside an house to symbolised that, as any other breed, they deserve a place to call home. The choice of painting the dog with bright colour wanted to express the vivacity of these dog which bring a welcoming atmosphere in whichever house they walk in. A family portrait of The Simpson in their well-know couch has been chosen for the first poster in order to show how grayhound fit perfectly in a family environment.
